An in-depth resource for animators!

Taking a character that you made up from nothing and breathing life into it using animation can be so rewarding, but without knowing all the tricks it’s harder to have that fulfillment. I’ve been teaching animation classes for elementary school kids the past few months, and as teaching is one of the best ways to learn, I became much more clear about what works and what doesn’t. I’ve also found that good, in-depth tutorials teaching the fundamentals of animation are hard to find.

So, I started a video series!

It’s based on the 12 Principles of Animation as described by legendary Disney animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston in their book, The Illusion of Life. Each week I release a new one.

It’s been very fun for me, and so far it’s been very well received. I have yet to see a negative comment, and that’s saying a lot, since it’s YouTube.

Hey man, I really like these videos!
Would you mind if I used them in a series of blog posts on my website? It would promote your videos even more, and maybe open up a new audience segment for you.
